Masha is a coffee washing station located in the highlands of Kayanza, northern Burundi along the border of Rwanda. They receive coffee from over 3200 local farmers, whose livelihoods rely heavily on coffee. Harvest season in this region is typically April through June, but the coffee's still have a long journey to export from this landlocked country. The hard work of exporting Burundi coffee is totally worth the effort. This coffee is bright and delicious in the cup, it has notes of red apple and honey, with black tea finish.
